Laura Collins, MSS, LSW
I am a Philadelphia-based social worker and I offer weekly virtual psychotherapy sessions. I am a great fit for young adults, college students, neurodivergent people, survivors of intimate partner or domestic violence, and other trauma survivors. I have a psychodynamic background and believe in the therapeutic process and relationship.
I have been a social worker for over twenty years across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, most recently in college counseling. I hold a MSS from Bryn Mawr, a BA in Social Work, a Certificate of Advanced Clinical Supervision from Smith College, and a Certificate of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. I am an ABD doctoral candidate in the DSW program at the University of Pennsylvania, currently researching social workers’ experiences of illness. I presented at the APA’s Division 39 conference and the National Sexual Assault Conference, and co-wrote a chapter in Homework Assignments and Handouts for LGBTQ+ Clients: A Mental Health and Counseling Handbook.
I am currently accepting patients. I don’t bill insurance but I am happy to provide you with a superbill to submit. If you’re interested in working together please schedule a consultation to discuss.
